22260 - French Fusil - Brass
A beautiful exact copy of an engraved French Fusil Fin plate circa 1730-1760 era. I think it is a Type C since it is highly engraved and matches triggerguard #22330. Many of these smoothbores were later restocked into American Fowlers. This gun created the demand for a plain trade gun that was cheaper to make; the Type D French Trade Gun. H= 4-3/4” W= 2” CL= 5-1/4”
