Incredibly light for all their length, the pipstol used for our pattern featured a 10” long smoothbore barrel in about 28 gauge. Since it was originally military issue, it was not fitted with any mounted or fixed sights. Widely used in the American Revolution.

Our pistol kit is available with a walnut or curly maple stock. The stock is inlet for the barrel, lock, trigger, ramrod and buttcap. This model uses a 10" long barrel, a 5/16" tapered ramrod, Chambers small Queen Anne flintlock and our reproductions of the appropriate hardware. This hardware stayed essentially the same from 1738 to 1756.

To order a complete kit, choose the barrel, then select the metal you wish your mountings (buttplate, triggerguard & thimbles) to be in. Kits will include all parts to build one pistol; stains and finishes not included.
